Ericom Connect is a remote application and desktop access solution by Ericom. It allows you to connect to a computer in an on-campus computer lab from your home or public computer. There are two ways to connect:
- Using the Web browser and the AccessPortal (no software download needed)
- Using the AccessPad program (requires download and installation)
AccessPortal (Web browser)
To access Ericom Connect Access Portal, in a Web browser, go to https://econnect.uwindsor.ca
Select one of the links highlighted below (both links use https://)
Provide you UWINID (without the @uwindsor.ca) and password and then Connect
Select your lab (Currently Engineering, GIS and HK labs are available)
Select an available desktop
Based on the lab environment, you may or may not see the following screen and be prompted to logon to the lab computer.
AccessPad can be download and installed to access lab computers instead of using the Web page. If you are using Microsoft Windows, please select “Install EricomPad – Windows 10 64-bit”. Please use the following information to connect. The server name is econnect.uwindsor.ca and enter your user name with or without @uwindsor.ca
