Nuance Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR)

Interactive voice response (IVR) is a technology that allows a computer to interact with humans through the use of voice. Nuance is an interactive voice recognition system used by the University's telephone system. It allows anyone who calls the University main number 519-253-3000 to say the name of the person that they want to be connected to, rather then pressing zero and speaking to the switchboard operator.
