How to take a screen capture for the Service Desk?

Tags windows
When working with I.T. Service Desk, you may be asked to e-mail a screen capture to share what you are seeing on your PC. The easiest way to do this is to press the 'Print Screen' key on your keyboard. This will instantly take a snapshot of your screen and store the image in Windows' clipboard (internal Windows memory).Once you compose a new e-mail message, you can paste the image in the body of the message by pressing Ctrl+V on your keyboard, or by going to Edit -> Paste option form the menu.

If you are a Windows 7 user, you can take a screen capture with the Snipping Tool available from the Start menu. After you have finished selecting the area that you want to capture, a new window will open containing your image. You can copy the image using Ctrl+C or Edit -> Copy, and paste it in your Outlook message.
