How to forget Wi-Fi on your device and reconnect to Wi-Fi

Body

Windows

  1. Click on the Internet access icon (bottom right of screen).
  2. Right click on uwinsecure (or eduroam or uwindsor) and click Forget.
  3. Click on uwinsecure (or eduroam), click Connect.
  4. Enter your UWinID@uwindsor.ca and your new current password to connect to Wi-Fi
  5. If you need help connecting back to wifi this article will help

Mac

  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the top-right corner of the Mac menu bar.
  2. Select Open Network Preferences
  3. In the Network menu click the pad lock (bottom left of the new window) and enter your computer sign in credentials
  4. Select Wi-Fi (left side)
  5. Click Advanced
  6. Under 'Network Name', click on uwinsecure (or eduroam or uwindsor) from the list to select it
  7. Click the minus ("–") icon below the list to forget the selected network
  8. Close the network menu
  9. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the top-right corner of the Mac menu bar and select uwinsecure (or eduroam)
  10. Enter your UWinID@uwindsor.ca and your new current password to connect to Wi-Fi

Android (Will work for most Android phones)

  1. Open settings app
  2. Tap on Internet settings
  3. Tap and hold on uwinsecure (or eduroam or uwindsor) and tap forget
  4. Tap on uwinsecure (or eduroam) 
  5. Enter the required credentials and settings found here

iPhone

  1. Open Settings app
  2. Tap Wi-Fi
  3. Tap the Ⓘ next to uwinsecure (or eduroam or uwindsor)
  4. Tap "Forget this Network"
  5. Tap Forget
  6. In Wi-fi Settings again, tap on uwinsecure (or eduroam) 
  7. Enter the required credentials and settings found here
