How to Set Up a Quiz to Auto Submit

Quizzes in Brightspace can be created so that the quiz automatically is submitted when the time limit is reached following the steps in this article.

To set up a quiz that auto-submits student work when the time limit is up:

1. On the navbar, click Quizzes.
2. On the Manage Quizzes tab, click New Quiz. (or click on an existing quiz's name to edit it.)
   
3. On the quiz creation screen, open Timing & Display.
4. Check Set time limit.
   
5. Enter a Time Limit in minutes.
6. Click Edit Timer Settings.
   
7. In the Timer Settings dialog that opens, select Automatically submit the quiz attempt and click Save.
   
8. Complete the quiz set-up process as described in the Create a quiz instructions and click Save and Close.
