How to Share a YouTube Video in Brightspace and Have It Start at a Certain Point

Summary

You can share YouTube videos in your Brightspace course sites by adding the video's link or its embed code into the course site. Sometimes, you want students to watch only a portion of the video. This article will show you how to share a YouTube video so that it starts at the spot in the video where you want your students to start viewing.

To add a link

  1. Find the YouTube video you want to share and advance it to the spot you would like it to start and pause it.

  3. Place a check mark in the Start at box.

To embed a video

  1. Find the YouTube video you want to share and advance it to the spot you would like it to start and pause it.
