Objective
How to create an Oracle account, which will enable you to download and install Smart View.
Environment
An Oracle account has nothing to do with any University of Windsor sign-in, but is set up directly with Oracle in the same way you would set up a free personal account with Gmail or Reddit for example. The set-up is easy and will take about a minute.
Procedure

Visit https://signon.oracle.com/signin and click on the Create Account button:
- Fill out the form, using your UWindsor.ca work email address, and the university’s street address: 401 Sunset Ave., Windsor Ontario, postal code N9B 3P4. You do not need to check the “Send me marketing communications on Oracle Products, Services and Events” box. Once finished, click on the Create Account button:
- You will receive an email from Oracle asking you to confirm the account. Confirm the account and sign in. The first time you attempt to sign in, Oracle will ask you to set up two-factor authentication. Click on Email as your second factor, or select QR code authentication if you prefer.
- Oracle will ask you for a passcode. Check your email inbox for the code. Enter the six-digit passcode to complete your sign in:
- You should now be inside the Oracle environment.
