Microsoft Entra Passkey on Windows (EPOW) allows users to register a passkey for their UWin Account (Microsoft work/school account) directly into their device's local Windows Hello container and use it to sign in to University apps that use Microsoft Entra ID for authentication. Microsoft Entra passkey on Windows enables phishing-resistant sign-in by using a Windows Hello biometric or PIN without requiring the device to be Microsoft Entra joined or registered.

NOTE: This type of passkey can only be stored on a Windows computer that is not managed by Intune. An attempt to store it on a computer managed by Intune will result in this error message:
Follow these steps to generate Microsoft Entra Passkey on Windows (EPOW) passkey for your UWin Account (Microsoft work/school account):
- In your web browser, navigate to https://myprofile.microsoft.com website and sign-in
- Click on My Account > Security Info.
- Click on Add sign-in method.
- Select Passkey.
- Click on Next.
- Click on Continue.
