Uploading Spreadsheets to the UWinsite Finance System

To be able to upload an Excel spreadsheet to UWinsite Finance directly from Excel, you will need to download the ADF (ADFDi) tool, better known as the spreadsheet uploader tool.  If you are installing tthe ADF (ADFDi) tool for the first time, please skip to step B. If you are prompted to update ADFDi; please follow the steps below to update and install the spreadsheet uploader.

A: Locate and Uninstall the current version of ADF (ADFDi)

1. From the computer dektop click on the Start Menu (bottom left hand corner)
2. Click on Settings - the gear icon
3. From Settings, click on Apps
4. Click on Apps & Features from the left hand menu
5. In the Search bar, enter Oracle ADF
6. Click on Oracle ADF Desktop Integration Add-in for Excel
7. Click Uninstall

B. Locate and Download the Latest Version of ADF (ADFDi)

1. From UWinsite Finance homescreen, click the Navigator (top left hand corner)
2. Click Download Desktop Integration Installer
3. Opening Adfdi-Excel-Addin-Installer page is displayed, click Save File
4. When the file is fully downloaded, Open the file
5. Click Install on the page displayed
6. When the installation is complete, click Close
7. Open Excel. If a pop-up page is displayed, click Install
8. Close Excel
9. Restart the computer
10. Open Excel, click Enable Editing
11. Click File and select Options (bottom of the menu listing)
12. The Excel Options page is displayed, click Add-ins
13. In the Manage field, select COM Add-ins
14. Click Go
15. The COM Add-In page is displayed, check the box to the left of the Oracle ADF Desktop Integration Add-in for Excel
16. Click Ok
17. Close Excel and re-open any Excel template needed
