DNS servers maintain a directory of domain names (example: uwindsor.ca) and translate them to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses (example: 137.207.71.196). The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a network protocol used to assign IP addresses and provide configuration information to devices such as servers, desktops, or mobile devices, so they can communicate on a network using the Internet Protocol (IP). All IP addresses are dynamically allocated by our DHCP servers on both wireless and wired networks
