The University of Windsor has implemented a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) system that allows people to connect to centrally managed desktops. These Windows 10 desktops have software pre-loaded and they can be accessed from a variety of devices including: Windows PC's, macOS computers, Linux workstations, and Android and Apple tablets.
You can connect to these desktops using a Web browser (of you are on a PC or Mac) or using an application program called Horizon Client. This application program is also available for PC's and Mac's, and provides some extra features over the Web browser connection.
You must connect to the campus using Global Protect VPN before connecting to the virtual desktop infrustructere (VDI).
