How do I add the University academic dates and holidays to my Outlook calendar?

The Office of the Registrar maintains a calendar of important University academic dates and holidays.  You can subscribe to this calendar and have these academic dates/holidays display in your Outlook client.

To subscribe to this calendar, perform the following steps:

1.  In Outlook, go to your calendar.  In the ribbon, under the Home tab, click the "Open calendar" button, and then choose "from internet...".

Note that on newer versions of Outlook, the option is labelled "Add Calendar", then you can click on "From Internet...".

If you want to add the calendar from Outlook on the web (from a browser), from the Calendar view, click on the drop down arrow next to "Work Calendar" on the top left, then click on "Add Calendar".

2.  In the text box for the calendar location, enter the following URL:  https://www.uwindsor.ca/registrar/ical/events/

3.  Click OK.  You will be asked to confirm that you wish to subscribe to this Internet calendar.  Click Yes.

If you are doing this from Outlook on the web (from a browser), you will need to select the "Subscribe from Web" option and enter the URL in the field provided, enter a name for the calendar, pick a color and charm, choose which calendar folder you would like to add this to, then select on the button labelled "Import".

4.  You will now see the UWindsor events calendar in addition to your personal calendar in Outlook.
