How to add my UWin Office 365 account as new additional account to Outlook?

If you were using MS Outlook prior to your faculty/staff e-mail account being migrated from Lotus Notes/iNotes to Office 365 to manage your personal e-mail account, you can follow these steps to add your UWin Office 365 account as a "new account" to your Outlook without having to reinstall Outlook or having to remove your existing account data.

1. Click on "File" tab on the Outlook ribbon.

2. Select "Info" and click on "+ Add Account" button.

3. Fill out all three fields with your:

- full name

- e-mail address

- UWin ID password

...and click "Next"

4. Outlook will verify your credentials and display a confirmation screen if there are no problems, click "Finish" to proceed.

5. Outlook will; ask you to restart. Click "OK" to proceed. Shut down Outlook and start it back up.

6. Outlook will ask you to enter credentials for the new account that you just added. If you do not want to be entering those each time you launch Outlook, check the box next to "Remember my credentials" before clicking "OK".

Setting your UWin Office 365 account as a default account in your Outlook (optional)

You should consider setting UWin Office 365 account that you just added as your default e-mail account in Outlook, especially if this is your work computer:

1. Click on "File" tab on the Outlook ribbon.

2. Select "Info" and click on "Account Settings" button then select "Account Settings" from the drop-down list.

3. You should see at least two accounts listed on the "E-mail" tab. Your original e-mail account will be listed first and it will be flagged with the checkmark icon which means that this is your current default account. Single-click on the newly added UWin Office 365 account to select it, and then click "Set as Default" button.

4. You will see that your newly added UWin Office 365 account is now listed on the top of the list and it is flagged now with the checkmark icon which means that this is your current default account. Click "Close" to dismiss this dialogue box.
