UWin Account Creation (Including Onboarding & Offboarding)

I.T. onboarding refers to the process through which a new employee acquires access to I.T. resources that they require to perform their job. I.T. offboarding refers to removal of access to I.T. resources from anyone who is no longer employed by the University of Windsor.

For any positions that require access to I.T. resources, I.T. Services department needs to be involved when:

  • a new employee is hired (ie. someone who previously was not employed by the University)
  • an existing employee is transitioning into a new position
  • an existing employee resigned or was terminated

*If a new computer setup is required, please ensure to fill out a secondary ticket. *

Note: IT Services does require lead time to get an account created. It can be expected that the account activation instructions will be sent to the new account holder within 5 business days of ticket creation and requested access be granted within 10 business days of ticket creation.
