How to Create an Applicant Profile in UWinsite People to Apply for an Internal Posting

Tags how-to

A Talent Profile in the UWinsite People is a digital record that captures essential details of your qualifications and career history. It gives employees a spot to showcase their qualifications, skills, and past experiences. It also enables managers to identify potential candidates for promotions, transfers, or development opportunities based on their career profiles. It is the primary resource for matching internal candidates to new opportunities.

Key sections of the talent profile include:

  • Degree: Information about your educational qualifications, including the degrees earned and institutions attended.

  • Licenses and Certifications: Any professional licenses or certifications showcasing your expertise in specialized areas relevant to your role or future opportunities.

  • Previous Employment: Your work history, both within UWindsor and prior roles, detailing experience and past responsibilities.

  • Specialized Skills: Highlight specific technical or soft skills they possess. This helps managers identify unique competencies that align with current or future organizational needs.

  • Attachment Section: You or your manager can upload relevant documents, such as transcripts, certificates, or other supporting materials, to validate qualifications or achievements.

After you complete your single sign-on in UWinsite People using your full UWinID@uwindsor.ca as your username and your UWin Account password.

  1. Go to Me, select Career and Performance to access your professional information.

  2. Select Skills and Qualifications. This will allow you to update the various sections of your Talent Profile.

  3. You can also upload your CV or any other relevant supporting documents in the attachment section to strengthen your profile.
