How can I tell which distribution lists and groups a person belongs to in Office 365?

Summary

By looking at the Membership section of the person's Contact Card in Outlook, you will be able to see all of the distribution lists and groups that the person belongs to.

Body

This can be accomplished by displaying person's "Contact Card" in MS Outlook.

  1. Start Outlook
  2. Compose new e-mail message
  3. Type person's last name or UWin ID in "To" field and click "Ctrl+K" to force the name lookup.
  4. Select the person whose group membership you want to view, and click OK.
  5. Hover your cursor over the name in the "To" filed until person's "Contact Card" is displayed
  6. Open/expand the Contact Card by clicking the chevron icon in the right bottom corner of the card
  7. Click on the "Membership" tab

Note:  Dynamic group membership will not show in this list as dynamic lists are generated at the time of use.
