During the work from home period, you may need to place calls to students or clients from your home or mobile phone, and not want to have your phone number display on the called party's device.
Temporary Block
If you dial * 6 7 before entering the phone number, your call will appear as "private number"on the receiving end and your number will not appear. You will need to do this before every call that you want marked private.
Mobile Phone Settings Block
iPhone
You can adjust your iPhone to hide your number. This procedure may not be available on all carriers, it is for most.
- Go to Settings
- Select "Phone"
- Press "Show My Caller ID"
- Use the toggle switch to enable or disable the hide my number feature
Android Phone
To hide your number on an Android device:
- Open the Phone app
- Open the Menu
- Select Settings
- Click on Call settings
- Click on Additional settings
- Click on Caller ID
- Choose “Hide number” and your number will be hidden
- Choose “Show number” or “Network default” to resume showing your number
