As a Line Manager, if you have an internal or external candidate in mind for a position, they can be matched to your requisition as a prospect. This streamlines the application process by sending the candidate a direct invitation to apply. Once the candidate applies, they can either be screened for an interview or directly offered the position.
Important
- Only new candidates may be matched by Line Managers.
- For existing employees, HR Recruitment handles the matching process for all Staff recruitment types.
Preliminary Steps
- It is essential to know the 4-digit requisition number in advance as you will need to enter that information when you are adding a prospect.
- Identify the candidate to be matched to the requisition.
- Obtain the candidate’s email address for profile creation.
To complete this process, follow the steps outlined below:
- In My Team access your team management tools.
- Select Hiring to view your active requisitions.
- From the left-hand menu, select Candidate Pools, and then Staff Candidate Pool, then click +Add.
- Create a candidate by filling in Basic Info with the candidate’s First Name, Last Name, and Email address only. After completing these fields,
- Click Save and Close. A confirmation box will appear asking if you want to complete the profile now. Select Yes.
- Once the candidate profile has been created, click Actions, select Add to Requisition. The requisition will populate based on the entered number. Ensure you have the correct 4-digit requisition number in advance.
- Click Save and Close.
The candidate is now visible under the Prospects section of the requisition.
Upon saving, UWP will automatically send the candidate an email. This message will include a personal invitation to apply for the position, along with a link to submit their application.
- Once the candidate applies through the provided link, they will either:
- Be screened for an interview as part of the normal recruitment process, or
- Be directly considered for the position, potentially bypassing the interview process for an immediate offer, if deemed appropriate.
