If you are adding a beneficiary who is under the age of 18 years old, you are legally required to assign a Trustee.
In your browser, go to uwindsor.ca/uwinsite/people. Complete your single sign-on in UWinsite People using your full UWinID@uwindsor.ca as your username and your UWin Account password.
- On the home page, under Me, select Benefits.
- Navigate to Before You Enroll and ensure the beneficiaries you are looking to assign or change their trustee are listed.
- Navigate to People to Cover, then the Trustee section and select +Add.
- Select the start date. Ensure the date matches the date you added the beneficiary (ex. you added a child who is under 18 years of age as a beneficiary in the system on September 4, 2024, the Start Date in Trustee section will be September 4, 2024).
- From the Beneficiary Type, select Trust. Fill out additional fields:
- Trust Name: full legal name of Trustee
- Additional Info: Trustee phone number
- Trust Description: Trustee full address
- Select Save
