Here are some other useful techniques in navigating through the data in Microsoft Teams.

Activity Filter

In the Activity pane, you can filter events so that you can quickly see when you have been @mentioned, replied to, etc.

  • Select Activity in the left navigation
  • Click on the filter icon and select the activity type you want to see.
  • The feed will be reflected to show your selection.
  • Click the x to the right of the filter to remove it

Searching

You can search accross teams, channels and files.

  1. Enter a phrase or keyword in the search box at the top of the Teams window (or page) and press Enter.
  2. In the left pane, choose Messages, People or Files to refine your search

Save a Conversation for Later

You can save a private chat or team conversation.

  1. Point to the conversation and press the Save button
  2. To view the saved items, select your profile picture or initials in the top corner and select Saved.

Favourite a Team

To mark a team as a favourite, click on the three dots to the right of the team name and select Favorite (star) from the menu.  This will ensure that the team stays on your teams list. 

Follow a Channel

To follow a channel, click on the three dots to the right of the channel name and select "Follow this channel". You will be notified of new activity in the channel as per your notification settings.  To set your notification settings, please refer to the related KB article.
