Will the application referral process change?

In cases where an application is referred to a Dean’s Office for a decision, Office of the Registrar staff will update the application status to “Referred to Dean” (HRDN). Documents such as non-EDI transcripts, letters of appeal and memos can now also be scanned and uploaded as a file attachment to an application, which will appear in the request sent to the Dean’s Office.

In turn, the Dean’s Office will get a report displaying the HRDN status which is a trigger that action is required on their part. Once the Dean’s Office makes a decision, they will change the status to “Referred to Registrar’s Office” (RROF or RTAO), which will be a trigger for Office of the Registrar staff that a decision has been made and captured in the comments section of the application.

This new online process eliminates sending documents and requests by inter-office mail.
