When a person receives a meeting invitation in Outlook, they have a number of response options:
If the invitee accepts or declines the meeting and chooses "Send the Response Now" the meeting organizer receives a response, and the person's status appears in the meeting tracking.
If the person chooses "Do Not Send a Response" the meeting organizer will receive no response at all to either an accept or decline request, and the status will not appear in the meeting tracking, even if the invitee accepts the meeting.
