Active Directory (AD) is a legacy Microsoft directory that stores information about members of the domain, including devices and users, verifies their credentials and defines their access rights.  Azure Active Directory (AAD) is a modern cloud-based identity and access management solution that also provides a foundation for device management solution called Intune. During the transition period, both directories are co-existing and are working together in our hybrid AD environment.

Blackboard is the Learning Management System (LMS) that the University of Windsor supports. It is a robust system with several communication tools including Announcements, Discussions, and a Virtual Classroom called Blackboard Collaborate Ultra; multiple assessment options such as Tests and Assignments; and interactive tools including Journals, Blogs, Discussions and Wiki.

I.T. Services provides full support for these MS Office 365 productivity apps: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio, Project, Publisher. Older versions of Office and MS Access are not supported.
