To delete the shadow copies, perform the following steps:
1. Run command prompt as administrator
2. Type vssadmin list shadows to see if shadow copies exist
3. Go to Windows File Explorer, right click on the C: drive and hit properties
4. Select the Shadow Copies tab
5. Select the drive you want to change, hit settings, and change the maximum size to the minimum and Click OK
6. This should reeduce/remove the shadow copies
