Known Issue: Adobe Acrobat Pro Prompts to Start a Free Trial

When a licensed user launches Adobe Acrobat Pro for the first time after it was installed, their license will be activated following an automated sign in using their Microsoft work or school account that is federated with their Adobe ID. In some cases, for example when the user already had Adobe ID that they registered for using their University e-mail address, the license fails to get activated. After launching Acrobat, a message comes up asking them to sign up for a free trial.

To resolve this issue, user needs to follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Sign out and use a different Adobe ID link in the free trial prompt
  2. If Acrobat shuts down, launch it again. When prompted, enter your University e-mail address in the form of uwinid@uwindsor.ca as your login name
  3. On the next screen, select Company of school account
