After speaking with your manager, submit a request for pregnancy leave in UWinsite People no less than two weeks before the intended leave date. After you enter a pregnancy leave, it will route to your manager, and once approved, will be directed to Human Resources for their approval and processing.
Important information: Pregnancy leave is separate and distinct from parental leave. For information on parental leave, please refer to the Parental Leave knowledge base article.
After you complete your single sign into uwindsor.ca/uwinsite/people using your full UWinID@uwindsor.ca as your username and your UWin Account password, follow the steps below:

Go to Me, select Time and Absence Records.

Select Add Absence.

For the Type, select Pregnancy Leave. Select your current position, in Business Title.

Under When section, click the Calendar in the Start Date and Time field. In a pop-up calendar window, select a date, then select OK. The default start time is set to 8:30 a.m. unless adjusted.

Enter the End Date and Time. Time will default to the start time 8:30 a.m., unless adjusted. End Date should be the last day of this type of leave. If an error message appears when you pick the wrong selection, fix error and continue.

Add any Comments, as necessary.

Add your medical certificate as an attachment by dropping files in the Attachment box or select the arrow to Add File.

Select Submit.
Before submitting you can select to edit your entry by clicking Edit and Save.
Important: Your intended date for pregnancy leave may change once the baby is born. Please ensure to update the date of birth in UWinsite People.
