How to Approve or Reject an Absence (Sick/Illness, Vacation, ect.) as a Manager in UWinsite People

Tags type-howto

The absence module enables employees to submit absences in accordance with the terms and conditions of their employment with the University. Eligibility and entitlements are determined by the relevant collective agreements, University policies, or employment legislation. Once an absence is submitted, payroll will automatically calculate the pay for the corresponding period, for most absence entries.

There may be times where the absence module does not limit/restrict an employees' entitlement and you will need to ensure the correct information has been entered, when approving the request. For more information on specific entitlements and eligibility, please consult the applicable collective agreement, policy, or employment legislation.
