If you would like to know when a student entered and completed a quiz or when certain questions have been answered, view the Attempt Logs or Event Logs of the quiz.

Viewing Quiz Attempt Logs
The Quiz Attempt Logs shows the event logs for all students who have attempted the quiz. As such, it is more suitable for when the instructor wishes to track events for the entire class.
- Click Quizzes in the Navbar of your course and locate the quiz.
- Select the down arrow next to the quiz and select Attempt Logs from the drop-down menu.
- You will see an Overview tab showing when students entered/completed a quiz, and a Detailed tab detailing when each question was saved for each student.
- Note: In the Overview tab, there are four sub-tabs that can be clicked to filter the logs: (Quiz Entry, Quiz Completion, Quiz Attempt Deleted, and Quiz Attempt Restored.) Click the sub-tab to select it and click it again to deselect it. You can select more than one at a time.
Viewing Single Attempt Event Logs
The Quiz Event Logs, accessible within a specific quiz attempt, shows the event logs the specific attempt. As such, it is more suitable for when the instructor wishes to examine the events that occurred within a specific attempt for a specific student.
- In the Quizzes page of the course, select the down arrow next to the quiz and select Grade from the drop-down menu.
- In the Users tab, scroll down to the list of students and click on the specific attempt to be examined.
Note: If you need to see the attempts that are in progress, you must click on Show Search Option, and in the Restrict to drop-down menu, select Attempts in Progress. Click on the magnifying glass to start the search. You will now be able to see the list of students with an in-progress quiz attempt.
- In the Attempt screen, click Quizzes Event Log.
Note: if the Attempt drop-down menu shows "Completion Summary", the event log is not displayed and you must select a specific attempt of the student.
You will now be able to see the event details for the specific attempt, including overall quiz attempt time interval, time of quiz entry and completion, and when a question was saved for each student.
