SETTING UP YOUR GENERAL ACCOUNTING
MONITOR DASHBOARD FOR THE FIRST TIME:
1. From the Home Screen, click on General Accounting Dashboard
2. In the General Accounting Dashboard, click on View
3. Select Account Group and click Create
4. Create Account Group page is displayed
5. In the Name field, enter a personalized name for your Account
6. In the Description field, enter a personalized description for your account
7. Select checkbox for Set as default
8. Under Accounts click the (+) plus sign
9. In the row that appears in the Account section, provide all the necessary values:
•Ledger
•Fund
•Department
•Program
•Project
•Natural Account
•Classification
•Interfund
•Future Use
10. Click Save
General Accounting Balances will show the transactions that have been posted on the account for the specific period. Each line item will be listed with the source of the transaction.
1. From the General Accounting Dashboard Accounting Monitor, click on the Annual Amounts to drill in for further detail
2. Inquire on Detail Balances page will be displayed
3. In the Accounting Period field, select the parameters to isolate only one month
4. If you choose the current month, Year to Date balance will be displayed
5. In the Natural Account field, type in or search the Account you wish to view
6. Select All Natural Accounts to view everything, regardless of balance
7. Click Search
