Brightspace is the new Learning Management System (LMS) that the University of Windsor implemented campus-wide in January 2023 and replaced Blackboard Learn. Brightspace is an agile, cloud-based system that offers enhanced accessibility features and a mobile-first design. It has a modern visually organized interface that is clean, easy to navigate, offering tools that support good teaching and interactive learning such as Announcements, Discussions, Quizzes, Assignments, and a Grades tool that calculates and securely displays students’ grades.
Continuous platform enhancements are delivered monthly by the vendor, D2L, and users can expect minimal service disruptions.
Login to Brightspace at brightspace.uwindsor.ca using your UWin ID email (UWinID@uwindsor.ca) and account password. Find your courses by selecting the “Courses” tab at the top of the Brightspace site.

To request assistance with Brightspace related issues, please click on the Open Ticket button on the right. This will bring up a form that you will need to fill-out and submit to open a support ticket with the I.T. Service Desk. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with the ticket reference number and additional instructions.
