How to use a FIDO2 Security Key.

Procedure

You can use your security key two different way:

  1. Sign into Windows on any Intune-managed Windows device belonging to the University – no need to enter a username and password or set-up Windows Hello beforehand.

  2. Sign into web apps/sites that use Microsoft Entra for authentication.

When signing into Windows, select the USB key icon in the Sign in options section. If this option does not appear, the computer may be too old to support FIDO2 security keys for Windows Hello.

When prompted to sign-in in your browser, click on Sign in another way and select Face, fingerprint, PIN or security key option.
