Requirements
In order to add and use a Xerox MFD printer from your Apple device you must be connected to the GlobalProtect VPN.
Note: Just because you can see the Xerox device on the list of printers, does not necessarily mean that you can send print jobs to it. Access checking is done either when the job is submitted to the queue, or physical access is restricted to the printer operating in hold/release mode.
Add the Printer
(1) Open Settings, choose Printers & Scanners and then press [Add Printer, Scanner or Fax].
(2) Select the Xerox device you want to access from list. Devices are listed alphabetically using the three-letter department code of the device owner.
(3) Next to the Use: option. choose "Select Software..."
(4) Select Xerox AltaLink C8155 from the list and then press [Add].
(5) In the dialog pop-up, change the Finisher option from OCT Tray to Office Finisher and press [OK].
Please note, you may also install additional finishing options such as adding the hole punch here.
Your printer is now ready to use.
