Full-time salaried employees will automatically have a time card generated in UWinsite People for each pay period. Exception time is considered anything above a regularly scheduled time for permanent full-time employees. Examples of Exception Time are lieu time, overtime, call in, etc. You will see the options in the drop down menu that are applicable to your employee group.
In your browser, go to uwindsor.ca/uwinsite/people. Complete your single sign-on in UWinsite People using your full UWinID@uwindsor.ca as your username and your UWin Account password.
Overtime
There are two types of exception scenarios:
- Connected to Your Shift: Additional time worked immediately before or after your regularly scheduled shift
- Separate from Your Shift: Additional time worked at any other time during the day or another day of the week when you are not scheduled.
UWinsite People records overtime as Regular Time Fixed Salary under Payroll Time Type.
