Downloading and Installing IBM SPSS Amos

IBM SPSS Amos is a powerful structural equation modeling (SEM) software helping support your research and theories by extending standard multivariate analysis methods, including regression, factor analysis, correlation and analysis of variance.

Licensing

Faculty, staff and students have the option to purchase an authorised user license. An authorized user license has an associated code that authorizes individual installations of SPSS AMOS following the installation. This license code will be sent to you in an e-mail. You will need to enter it using License Authorization Wizard (see: Activation)

Installation

Work Computers

Software on University computers is managed by Microsoft Intune device management platform. If you need to have IBM SPSS Amos installed on your work computer, submit your request for a license by opening a ticket. Once a license is assigned, this software will be automatically installed on your managed workstation of your choice. If you have more than one workstation, please indicate in the ticket which one you want this software installed on.

You can also install IBM SPSS Amos on your work computer running Windows 10 or 11 from Company Portal:

1. Lunch Company Portal app that is already installed on your work computer, or go to University of Windsor Intune Company Portal (https://portal.manage.microsoft.com) and sign in with your UWin Account (Microsoft work or school account), if prompted.
2. Click on Apps.
3. Search for Amos and then IBM SPSS Amos in search results.
4. Click on Install button.

Home Computers

 If you need to have IBM SPSS Amos installed on your home computer, follow the steps outlined below:

1. Click on the link below to initiate download of SPSS installer. If prompted, sign in with your UWin Account (Microsoft work or school account).
   • IBM SPSS Amos for Windows 10 and 11 (180 MB in size)
2. Click on Download button then save the file in your Downloads folder. This may take several minutes depending on the speed of your Internet connection. Once the download is complete, launch the installer by opening/running the downloaded file.
3. Select Yes to install
4. After Preparing to Install Screen, click Next.
5. Select I accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.
6. You can change the Destination Folder if desired, otherwise, click Next.
7. Click Install.

Activation

To activate IBM SPSS Amos after successful installation, launch License Authorization Wizard in the Windows Start menu program group for IBM SPSS Amos. You must run as administrator.

1. Right-click the License Authorization Wizard shortcut and choose Run As Administrator.
   
   
    
2. Click Yes
3. Click Next
4. Make sure Authorised user license is selected and click Next
5. Copy-paste or retype the license code in the Enter Code field and click Add then Next
