Your UWin Account is your personal digital identification for accessing a number of on-line services at the University of Windsor. A valid and active UWin Account is required of everyone associated with the University of Windsor who plans on using any of the online systems and services. Before your UWin Account is ready to be used, it needs to be activated. The activation process is different for different groups of users:

Students

All student accounts are generated automatically once they accept their admission offer. You will require your 9-digit Student Number and 6-digit Personal Identification Number or PIN in order to activate your account. If you are an applicant and you received your confirmation of admission, you you need to activate your UWin Account on this site:

Once activated, student accounts remain active for as long as they are considered as active students or alumni. Students who are away from the University during one semester (for example during summer break) will continue to have access to their UWinID account and its associated services. Students who are away for three consecutive semesters will no longer be considered as active students, and their UWin ID will be disabled.

What happens after graduation?

Current graduating students will have their accounts automatically transition into alumni accounts which stay active indefinitely. Students who graduated prior to 2001, have to manually activate their alumni account:

Employees

Existing employees can request a UWin Account for a new employee by filling out and submitting a ticket:

Once the account for a new employee is created, an activation code will be sent to the e-mail address provided on the request form. To complete the process, the new employee must enter this activation code on the account activation page:

Once activated, employee accounts remain active for as long as they are considered as active employees. Retirees can retain their UWin Account but must submit renewal request every year when notified via e-mail.
