I.T. Services provides telephone services to all locations on campus, and selected off campus locations, including connecting new lines and extensions, moving existing lines, installing or repairing phone jacks, long distance codes, etc. There is a fee associated with some of the services.
Online Directory Support
An on-line phone directory called Find A Person is available at uwindsor.ca/findaperson
You can search for faculty and staff by name, department name, e-mail address, telephone extension, or by expertise.
Nuance Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR)
Interactive voice response (IVR) is a technology that allows a computer to interact with humans through the use of voice. Nuance is an interactive voice recognition system used by the University's telephone system. It allows anyone who calls the University main number 519-253-3000 to say the name of the person that they want to be connected to, rather then pressing zero and speaking to the switchboard operator.
CallPilot Voicemail
IT Services can help with resetting voice mail passwords, enabled online access, as well as other issues regarding phone voice mail. Basic "How To" information can be found in this article.

Projects
All projects are quotable and fall under Facility Services. Project administrators should contact Telecommunications at ext.5555 to ensure budget covers costs. Typical costs are associated with moves of telephone extensions ($65.00 per extension) and new telephone extensions ($200.00 per extension)
