ARAC and Faculty Recruitment Forms in IBM Notes - User Guide

To request access, please submit a ticket and be sure to select one of these two options in the Request Type on the ticket form:

  • Requesting access to ARAC forms
  • Requesting access to Faculty Recruitment forms (PCEE)

Once access has been granted, follow instructions below to access the following apps in IBM Notes (formerly Lotus Notes):

 

ARAC Forms

  1. Launch IBM Notes on your computer. If this software is not installed, click here to open a service request ticket to have it installed.
  2. Sign in with your Notes password. Note that this password is different than your UWin Account password. If you do not remember your password, click here to open a service request ticket to have it reset.
  3. Press Ctrl+O keys on your keyboard or select Open > IBM Notes Application form the File menu. This will launch an Open Application dialogue box.
  4. Select CRONUS/University of Windsor from the drop-down list of servers in Look in filed. If this server is not on the list, type in cronus.uwindsor.ca and press Enter.
  5. Scroll down the list of files until you see the list of folders.


     
  6. Double click on units folder to open it.
  7. Double click on VPA folder to open it.
  8. Double-click Request for Non Faculty Addition Replacement (ARACSPST.nsf) file to open it.
  9. Click on All Positions view on the left to expand the list of years. Navigate to the current year.

Once you go though the steps above, you will now have an icon for ARAC database added to your Notes workspace that you can use to open this app next time without having to browse the server every time.

 

PCEE Forms (Form, 1,2,3)

  1. Launch IBM Notes on your computer. If this software is not installed, click here to open a service request ticket to have it installed.
  2. Sign in with your Notes password. Note that this password is different than your UWin Account password. If you do not remember your password, click here to open a service request ticket to have it reset.
  3. Press Ctrl+O keys on your keyboard or select Open > IBM Notes Application form the File menu. This will launch an Open Application dialogue box.
  4. Select CRONUS/University of Windsor from the drop-down list of servers in Look in filed. If this server is not on the list, type in cronus.uwindsor.ca and press Enter.
  5. Scroll down the list of files until you see the list of folders.


     
  6. Double click on units folder to open it.
  7. Double click on vpacademic folder to open it.
  8. Locate and double-click Request for Academic Appointment (form1ReqAcad.nsf) file to open it. This will open F1 app and add icon to your workspace. 
  9. Repeat steps 3-7 to add F2 PCEE Approval for the Short List (Form2AEv.nsf) and F3 PCEE Approval of the Recommended Candidate (Form3PCE.nsf) databases.

Once you go though the steps above, you will now have an icon for Form1, Form2, and Form3 databases added to your Notes workspace that you can use to open this app next time without having to browse the server every time.
