To remove your University Office 365 account from your device:

  1. Tap on "Settings"
  2. Tap "Mail"
  3. Tap “Accounts”
  4. Tap your UWindsor 365 account
  5. Scroll down to the bottom and tap "Delete Account"

To add your University Office 365 account to your device:

There are two ways to access your University Office 365 account on your iOS device - either with the Outlook app available from the Apple App Store or the native built in Mail, Contacts and Calendars app. It is recommended to setup the Outlook app for the best experience.

Note: In order to maintain compliance with the University of Windsor’s electronic device security policy, your mobile device must be password protected. Password is known as a passcode on the iPhone, iPad or Touch.  If your device does not have a passcode, you will be prompted to create one during the setup of your mail account.  For more information on the electronic device security policy, go to http://www.uwindsor.ca/its/wireless-and-electronic-device-policies

Microsoft Outlook App

To setup the Microsoft Outlook app:

  1. Go to the Apple App Store, and search for Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Install the App on your device
  3. Launch the app.
  4. Enter your e-mail address as your UwinID@uwindsor.ca (e.g. tester1@uwindsor.ca) - do not use your vanity, or personalized address (e.g. John.Testerski@uwindsor.ca) and click on "Add Account"
  5. Enter your UWin ID password, followed by your MFA challenge, if applicable.
  6. If your account was successfully added, you'll be prompted to add another account.  The Outlook app supports personal e-mail accounts as well (Outlook.com, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.)
  7. Tap "Maybe later" if you do not wish to add additional accounts at this time.
  8. You will receive confirmation that your account has been added.

  10. You will be prompted to allow the app permissions to your mailbox.  Click Accept.
  11. Choose which items you want sync'd to your device - by default, mail, contacts, calendars, reminders, and Notes are selected. Click Save.
  12. If you do not have a passcode on your device, you will be prompted to set one up per the University of Windsor's mobile device policy.  Enter in a 4-digit code to use as your passcode.
  13. Your mail, calendar, contacts (and reminders and notes, if selected) will start syncing to your device.

Note:  By default, the iOS device will only sync 1 months of messages. To change this, go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > tap your UWindsor 365 account, and change "mail days to sync"
