University email system is hosted by Microsoft. All mailboxes are stored in Exchange Online (Microsoft Cloud), and can be accessed and managed from multiple devices, in several different ways. This service is available to anyone with an active UWin Account, including students, with the exception of University Board members, medical students, and students enrolled in Continuing Education courses (non-traditional students).
Students
Outlook Web App
The main advantage of this method is that it does not require any software to be installed on the computer, or any initial setup/configuration. You just need a computer with a web browser and Internet connection. For details, please see:
Mobile Devices
This includes smartphones and tablets with Android or iOS. The exact method depends on the type of device and its operating system.
Laptops and Desktops
Faculty, staff and students can install and configure the Microsoft Outlook desktop app on their workstations (Win or Mac), along with other Microsoft Office 365 Pro Plus applications.
Note: The Microsoft Office download is only available to active faculty, staff and students. Alumni and retirees are not eligible to use MS Office through the University of Windsor. You will need to obtain your own license.
