Come see us at the IT Service Desk, Lower Level, University Computer Centre (UCC) to pick-up and drop-off your audio-visual equipment.
General-purpose classrooms are equipped with audio-visual equipment to assist instructors with the delivery of academic materials. This equipment includes projectors, desktop computers, PA systems, projector screens, and various computer connectors / accessories. Instructions on the use of the equipment in the classrooms are available through the classroom database.
The Classroom Technology Support Team is responsible for providing consultation for audio-visual needs and related equipment in the general-purpose classrooms across campus and special events that do not require technical support. The Classroom Technology Support Team also supports, in varying capacities, all other audio-visual equipment in classrooms and meeting rooms across campus.
Audio-Visual Equipment Booking
Faculty, staff and students can book equipment for their class or event to fulfill AV requirements for rooms without integrated media systems, by clicking the green Open Ticket button on the right.
Please note that bookings must be made three working days in advance (five is recommended). Faculty, staff, and students may book equipment for classroom use without charge. ITS provides audio-visual (AV) equipment to the Campus Community to supplement classrooms and related events. To ensure this equipment is maintained / replaced when needed, there is a standard cost-recovery fee. These fees are not applicable to classroom / academic support (e.g., lapel microphone for an instructor or temporary loan of projector due to equipment failure). In addition, equipment fees are not charged for events that are related to regular operating activities, such as Board of Governor meetings, professional development sessions, Faculty / Staff meetings, etc. However, a standard delivery fee may be assessed. If you feel that you could use a one-on-one refresher regarding any AV equipment, please contact Stephanie Parent at extension 3051 to book a consultation.
