Come see us at the IT Service Desk, Lower Level, University Computer Centre (UCC) to pick-up and drop-off your audio-visual equipment.
Most classrooms are equipped with audio-visual (AV) equipment to assist instructors with the delivery of academic materials. This equipment includes projectors, desktop computers, PA systems, projector screens, and various computer connectors / accessories. Instructions on the use of the equipment in the classrooms are available through the classroom database.
Many meeting rooms on campus are also equipped with AV equipment.
The AV Support Team is responsible for providing consultation for AV needs and related equipment in classrooms and meeting rooms across campus as well as special events that do not require technical support.
Audio-Visual Equipment Booking
Faculty, staff, and students can book AV equipment for classes or events in rooms that do not have integrated AV systems or need additional components. To submit a request, click the green Open Ticket button on the right.
Requests must be submitted at least three working days in advance; however, five working days’ notice is recommended.
Faculty, staff, and students may book AV equipment for classroom or academic use at no charge. For some non-classroom bookings, a standard cost-recovery fee may apply to help maintain and replace equipment.
Equipment fees do not apply to classroom or academic support requests, such as a lapel microphone for an instructor or a temporary projector loan due to equipment failure. Fees are also not charged for events related to regular University operations, such as Board of Governors meetings, professional development sessions, and faculty or staff meetings.
