Microsoft Teams & Office 365 Groups

Microsoft Teams is a collaboration platform that combines workplace chat, meetings, notes, and files. It provides a true chat-based hub for teamwork and give customers the opportunity to create a more open, fluid, and digital environment. Microsoft Teams is built on existing Microsoft technologies like Skype and SharePoint woven together by Office 365 Groups. The service integrates with the company's Office 365 productivity suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and features extensions that can integrate with non-Microsoft products.

With Microsoft Teams app on your PC, Mac, or mobile device, you can:

  • Pull together a team by converting an existing Office 365 Group to a Team.
  • Customize it by adding notes, web sites, and apps.
  • Use chat instead of e-mail to communicate with Team members.
  • Host online meetings and group chats.
  • Store and organise files related to the Team.
  • Securely edit files by multiple users at the same time.
  • See likes, @mentions, and replies with just a single tap.

Office 365 Groups establish a single hub and a single set of permissions across all Office 365 apps embedded in a group, including OneNote and OneDrive, so teams can simplify collaboration and increase productivity. Each Office 365 group has its own dedicated email address and a shared workspace for conversations, files, and calendar events. This shared workspace is provided on OneDrive in the cloud so that it can be accessed from any Internet connected device in the office, at home, or on the road using a Web browser.
