This article contains information on how University faculty, staff and students can obtain software that they are licensed for under campus agreements, or can purchase a discounted license for under the academic/volume pricing agreements.
Microsoft Office
The latest version of Microsoft Office, called now Microsoft 365 Apps, is now being automatically installed on every University-owned Windows 10 computer that is joined to Azure AD and managed by Intune. For more information, please see:
If you would like to install Office 365 on your personal computer, you will need to do it via the Microsoft Office Portal site. Keep in mind that each University employee and student is entitled to install and activate MS Office on up to five computers in total. For more information, please see:
Older versions of Microsoft Office are no longer supported by IT Services and can no longer be obtained.
Note that although Visio and Project will be pre-installed on every University-owned Windows 10 computer that is joined to Azure AD and managed by Intune, you are required to purchase a separate license to use each of these two apps. You can submit your request by opening a License Request ticket.
IBM SPSS statistics / Amos and Adobe Acrobat Pro
Faculty and Staff
You are required to purchase a license to use this software. You can submit your request by opening a License Request ticket.
Once the license has been purchased, the latest version of SPSS and/or Adobe Acrobat 2020 will be automatically installed on all University-owned Windows 10 computers registered in your name that are joined to Azure AD and managed by Intune.
Students
IT Services uses the Software Depot website to resell IBM SPSS / AMOS 28 to students. To access this service, sign in with your UWin Account. This service is protected by Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) so you may need to approve your sign in using your preferred MFA method.
Other Software
You will find the Company Portal app pre-installed on every University-owned Windows 10 computer that is joined to Azure AD and managed by Intune. You can use this app to install additional software on your workstation. Click here to see the list of apps that are currently available.
On personal computers that you use for work or school, you can download the Company Portal app from the Microsoft Store app that is pre-installed on every Windows 10 computer, or Microsoft Store for Education. You can also download software from the Company Portal website.

The Kivuto site allows faculty, staff and students purchase and download software for their BYOD and home devices at academic pricing.

Microsoft Software for Students
Microsoft has changed their Imagine Program (formerly known as DreamSpark) for computer science, math and engineering students. The new Azure for Students program provides:
- Credits for cloud-based services including virtual servers, storage, Kubernetes containers, databases, AI and machine learning API's and more
- Access to software tools such as Visio, Project, Visual Studio, SQL Server and the Windows operating system
You must have a current, active Azure for Students subscription in order to access the Software Developer Tools. You can download this software in the Education Hub after you have activated your Azure account.
Learning material can be found in the Azure portal and at Microsoft Learn and LinkedIn Learning which are also free for UWindsor students.
