Power Automation - Workflow

IT Services utilizes Microsoft’s Power Automate workflow engine to automate the processing of various tasks. Currently, we provide support for the following Power Automation processes:

  • Outstanding Scholar Appointments
  • GA/TA Appointments
  • International Recruitment Events Gateway
  • PDC (Program Development Committee) Forms

Outstanding Scholar Appointments

The Outstanding Scholars SharePoint site will be used by Faculty to submit project proposals. Students will use the site to submit a contract request to work on one of these approved projects.

GA/TA Appointments

The GA/TA Appointment Work flow uses Microsoft’s Power Automate workflow engine to facilitate the processing of GA and TA contracts with an approval workflow that includes Graduate Studies, Human Resources and Payroll.

If you require assistance regarding contracts that have been submitted, access/permissions to the site or need any other related help, please click on the Open Ticket button on the right.

International Recruitment Events Gateway

The International Recruitment Events Gateway Work flow (IREG) uses Microsoft’s Power Automate workflow engine to help track the University’s international recruitment events and activities recorded in SharePoint. The work flow ensures that the approval steps required for different event and activity types are followed as well as automatically create tasks for various users to maintain the life cycle of the event when approved.

PDC Forms

The PDC (Program Development Committee) Forms Workflow helps various Faculty Members obtain approval for program and course changes. The proposals are submitted on the SharePoint site and using Microsoft’s Power Automate Work flow engine, facilitates an approval process to various approval groups, dependant on the information given by the proposer. It also allows the proposer to track the progress of their proposal.
