Microsoft OneDrive for Business, available to faculty and staff through your Microsoft Office 365 account, have some restrictions and limitations you should be aware of:
File Size Limit
There is a 250 GB file size limit per file.
File and Folder Name (Path) Length Restriction
Each file name path (including the folder and the file name) cannot be longer than 400 characters.
File Name Restrictions
The following characters are invalid in a file name:
< (less than)
> (greater than)
: (colon)
" (double quote)
| (pipe)
? (question mark)
* (asterisk)
/ (slash)
\ (backslash)
If you try to upload a file that has one of these characters in the file name, you will get an error message:
The following strings in file names aren't supported when you sync OneDrive for Business:

Folder Name Restriction
This folder name isn't supported when the folder is at the root level for a library:
FORMS
These folder names aren't supported in OneDrive for Business:

_w
_vti_
