I.T. Services will assist with I.T. related employee onboarding (account creation, office telephone service, access to systems and resources), and offboarding (termination of access).


To support University of Windsor website, I.T. Services maintains a content management system (CMS) powered by Drupal. A CMS is a computer application that allows publishing, editing, modifying, organizing, deleting, and maintaining content from a central interface.


The University of Windsor maintains a Unix server named ARC1 (which stands for Academic and Research Computing). It offers a number of Unix applications as well as some analytical programs.

Your UWin Account is your personal digital identification for accessing a number of on-line services at the University of Windsor. A valid and active UWin Account is required of everyone associated with the University of Windsor who plans on using any of the IT systems and services.


This service allows you to open a ticket when your UWin ID is no longer active, or when it was not yet created.


eGAS allows candidates to apply for graduate studies at the University of Windsor, submit required documents, and track progress of their application. To be able to access eGAS applicants must first create an eGAS account. Note that UWin Account cannot be used to sign into eGAS at this time.


The Clinical Evaluations tool (also known as "Digital CPE"), used by the Faculty of Nursing, allows Nursing students and Clinical Instructors to document and evaluate the clinical performance of students during their practical clinical placements.


Crystal Reports is a business intelligence application. It is used to design and generate reports from a wide range of data sources.


An on-line phone directory called Find A Person is available at uwindsor.ca/findaperson You can search for faculty and staff by name, department name, e-mail address, telephone extension, or by expertise.


AccessXpert and Andover are two distinct applications which manage door security on campus.


mySuccess is the University of Windsor’s platform to support career and experiential education.


IT Services uses the Software Depot website to resell IBM SPSS / AMOS 28 to students.


Azzier is computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), used by the Facility Services, that centralizes maintenance information and facilitates the processes of maintenance operations.


The Scantron software and hardware is used for computerized test scoring. An on-line service request form must be filled out prior to coming to Operations Service Counter.


JD Edwards FIS is a legacy Financial Information System that has been replaced in Feb 2017 with UWinsite Finance (Oracle Financial Cloud & Hyperion). At this time, read-only access to this system is allowed to selected group of users, mostly in Finance department.


Launched November 2018, UWinsite Student is the University of Windsor’s student information platform that replaced the legacy Student Information System commonly known on campus as SIS, Forte, or myUWindsor.ca. Used primarily by students, faculty and staff, UWinsite Student also serves applicants and alumni.


Blackboard is the Learning Management System (LMS) that the University of Windsor supports. It is a robust system with several communication tools including Announcements, Discussions, and a Virtual Classroom called Blackboard Collaborate Ultra; multiple assessment options such as Tests and Assignments; and interactive tools including Journals, Blogs, Discussions and Wiki.


As part of the University of Windsor’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, UWinsite Engage is a marketing automation platform that enables sophisticated e-mail marketing, advanced segmentation, forms, event registration, and digital body language tracking. ​UWinsite Engage is designed to be used by the campus community to deliver relevant and timely communications to UWindsor’s constituents from their first contact with the University as prospective students through their ongoing engagement with their alma mater as proud alumni.


The Faculty of Engineering offers course-based Masters of Engineering (MEng) professional programs that are designed to be taken by students who already have earned a bachelors’ degree in engineering.


uView is a legacy system for uploading and sharing videos related to the University, teaching and learning, and research. It is being replaced by Microsoft Stream And Yuja. Starting in Spring 2022, you will no longer be able to upload videos into uView. Later in 2022, the uView system will be shut down.


Microsoft Exchange Online is a cloud-basedmessaging solution that delivers e-mail, calendar, contacts, and tasks from PCs, the web, and mobile devices. This service is hosted on Microsoft Exchange Online servers that are housed in Microsoft datacenters in Toronto and Quebec City (Microsoft Cloud) and are accessible to users on a wide range of devices from inside University's campus wired and wireless networks and over the Internet.

Maintenance and the Energy Conversion Centre coordinates selected repairs and maintenance operations of the campus infrastructure.


I.T. Services has deployed and maintains a number of firewalls, which are network systems that are designed to block unauthorized access while permitting legitimate network traffic. Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology provides secure remote access and secure data transmission between devices that are not connected to the University wired or wireless campus networks and University systems. The the Palo Alto GlobalProtect software that you can install on your device makes it seem as if it is on the campus network by setting up a tunnel which encrypts all traffic between your computer and the University firewall.
