The Clinical Evaluations tool (also known as "Digital CPE"), used by the Faculty of Nursing, allows Nursing students and Clinical Instructors to document and evaluate the clinical performance of students during their practical clinical placements.


I.T. Services has deployed and maintains a number of firewalls, which are network systems that are designed to block unauthorized access while permitting legitimate network traffic. Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology provides secure remote access and secure data transmission between devices that are not connected to the University wired or wireless campus networks and University systems. The the Palo Alto GlobalProtect software that you can install on your device makes it seem as if it is on the campus network by setting up a tunnel which encrypts all traffic between your computer and the University firewall.


The Facility Planning, Design & Construction Department can assist you with an estimate of work to be done related to all new construction, alterations and renovation work and equipment installations on campus.


IBM Lotus Notes and Domino Designer are legacy tools that were used by faculty and staff for e-mail, web publishing, and collaboration.


TeamDynamix (TDX) app is used by I.T. Services, Finance and a few other departments for project management, asset management, and issue/request tracking through tickets submitted by faculty, staff and students on this self-service portal.


The Faculty of Engineering offers course-based Masters of Engineering (MEng) professional programs that are designed to be taken by students who already have earned a bachelors’ degree in engineering.


Safe Lancer app (UWindsor Alert) is the official mobile safety app of the University of Windsor and an essential tool to enhance your safety at University of Windsor.


Parking Services offers permits for parking spaces in several locations on our main campus as well as downtown campus.


LAW EZProxy is a proxy server that used to facilitate off-campus access to the databases, e-journals and other electronic resources that the LAW Library has subscribed to.

Campus Camera Security System is monitored by Campus Community Police. They are located across the campus.


Active Directory (AD) is a legacy Microsoft directory that stores information about members of the domain, including devices and users, verifies their credentials and defines their access rights. Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory or AAD) is a modern cloud-based identity and access management solution that also provides a foundation for device management solution called Intune. During the transition period, both directories are co-existing and are working together in our hybrid AD environment.


IT Services provides general support for UWin Accounts as well as account creation, account deactivation, access changes for employees moving into new positions, onboarding and offboardings.


Titanium software is used by Student Health Services office. It is used by Student Advisors, office staff to manage advising related information. Appointment scheduling and counseling record management is the primary purpose of the system.


Microsoft Power BI is an interactive data visualization reporting solution with a main focus on business intelligence (BI), as a part of the Microsoft Power Platform.


There are several general purpose and specialised computer labs across campus. Some of these computer labs are maintained by departmental technicians while others are maintained by I.T. Services.

OneDrive is a file hosting and sharing service in Microsoft Cloud that is included in Office 365 suite of applications available to University of Windsor faculty, staff, and students. The current storage limit for OneDrive users is 1 TB.


Isilon NAS (Network Attached Storage) provides file sharing services seamlessly integrating Windows and Unix file systems. It allows PC users to access files stored on Unix servers, such as ADMIN1.

Used primarily by students, faculty and staff, UWinsite Student also serves applicants and alumni.


An on-line phone directory called Find A Person is available at uwindsor.ca/findaperson You can search for faculty and staff by name, department name, e-mail address, telephone extension, or by expertise.


The University has standard fleet pricing for Xerox AltaLink multi-function devices, and has implemented PaperCut for enterprise print management for faculty and staff.


University classrooms are equipped with audio-visual equipment to assist instructors with the delivery of academic materials. Faculty, staff and students can order equipment for their class or event to fulfill AV requirements for rooms without integrated media systems.
